Coffee Is Good

Yeah, I am awake at around 12:30am; it's because I am working nights for a while. College studying is going well, and I have been focused on this one class I am taking. I know it isn't a huge workload, but one class is one class closer to my Bachelor's Degree. Hope to have that in my possession by either the end of this year or by my birthday next year.

I am taking a trip to Vegas for my wedding ann'y in mid-June AND it happens to be during UFC 100 weekend. What a coincidence! Here's an extended clip hyping up UFC 100:

I trust you to tell your friends (and even the ones who don't like MMA) to order this event or at least watch it somehow, somewhere. It's going to be THAT entertaining.

Just catching up on the Offspring's latest album (although I thought that they were done after releasing their Greatest Hits album), and it sounds good so far. I know I am late to this party, but I don't listen to local radio or satellite radio (anymore). The reasoning is simple: their playlists are repetitive and the formula behind every song these days sounds the same.

QOTSA - Little Sister (Live)

I play this song on Rock Band all the time, but to see and hear it performed the way it's supposed to be...now that's magical!

And just look at that guitar work at the beginning!!!

I bet you can't discern the lyrics by just listening to this version...singer Josh Homme sounds a tad drunk or somethang.

UFC 92 Musings

UFC 92...I haven't seen a card like this in a long time. This is an event I have been looking forward to for quite a while. To put how awesome this card is into perspective, Wanderlei Silva vs. Rampage Jackson would be a main event on any other card. But there's still two title fights left on the card! I am definitely going to purchase this event, and even the most casual of fans should do the same.

The matchup that I am looking forward to the most is the one I just mentioned: Silva/Rampage. This is possibly the most difficult matchup to predict the outcome of. Sure, many will point out that Silva has beaten 'Page twice already, but others can argue that Jackson is not the same fighter that he was nearly half a decade ago. Rampage has made improvements in his striking (do you remember his uppercut on Forrest that had him reeling?) as well as his ground technique. Silva has always had great striking and ground work, so this is quite an awesome fight on paper. I can only hope that it turns out to be a slugfest instead of a one-sided fight, or even a wrestling match. The latter option is probably the least likely outcome, but then again, 2008 has been another year of odd outcomes and upsets, so don't be entirely surprised if it becomes a ground fight.

Predictions for this fight or any other on the UFC 92 card are welcome in the comments section!

The Fail Blog!!!

The Fail Blog is a photo blog, located here- The Fail Blog- which shows how people just don't pay attention to detail in many cases...here's an example of one that I didn't quite understand at first, but take a closer look at the two rabbits:

New Paramore Vid - Crushcrushcrush LIVE

I got this video as one of my MySpace bulletins from the band. For all (two) of you who aren't friends of this band, here is one amazing and unique performance of this song:

crushcrushcrush (LIVE)

And for those who don't know, Brock Lesnar is now the UFC Heavyweight Champion. A sad day for MMA fans the world over, I must say.

Paramore - Decode

I don't know all that much about this upcoming movie known as "Twilight" other than it is based on a series of vampire novels by Stephenie Meyer. Here's Paramore's music video from the soundtrack to the movie:

Nine Inch Nails Concert Photos - 11/1/08

Went to the NIN concert in Greenville last night as part of the "Lights In The Sky" tour; here are a few photos from the show. Most are blurry due to the lighting situation inside the Bi-Lo Center. Also, I think that you have to click on the photos to see them in their entirety. This blog has a way of cutting off the photos for some reason:
